Opium Barcelona is one of those places everyone ends up going at least once. It’s big, right on the beach, and almost always packed with internationals — especially International students. The energy is high, the crowd is global, and when it hits, it really hits. That said, timing is everything here. Show up early and you’re in for free; show up late and you’re easily dropping €30 at the door.

Shôko Barcelona is a bit more balanced, and honestly one of the easiest clubs to recommend if you’re just trying to have a good night without overthinking it. The music leans reggaeton and Hip hop, and midweek nights here tend to be surprisingly good. It’s one of those spots where you go “just for a chill night” and end up staying way longer than planned.

Ku Barcelona brings that Ibiza-style vibe into the city, especially on Sunday when the Erasmus crowd really shows up. It’s a solid mix of locals and internationals, and the atmosphere feels a bit more without being too intense. If you’re looking for something in between crazy and classy, this is usually a safe play.

Otto Zutz is a completely different vibe — less polished, more raw energy. It’s all about hip-hop, a younger crowd, and a more chaotic (in a good way) atmosphere. The three floors each have their own thing going on, so you’re constantly moving around. If you’re not into mainstream beach clubs and want something with more personality, this is probably your spot.
